Driving to the Morton Centre?
The Morton Centre is located on Heckmans Island, a 15 minute drive outside the beautiful town of Lunenburg. Please note that our civic address is not the same as our physical address.
Directions From Lunenburg:
Either take Hwy 332 heading East towards Blue Rocks/Heckman's Island, turning left onto Blue Rocks Rd at the stop, OR navigate through town by taking Lincoln Street, turning right on King Street, then left at Pelham Street continuing out towards Blue Rocks (Pelham Street turns into Blue Rocks Road).
Continue on Blue Rocks Road, turning left onto Heckmans Island Road. Signs should be visible for Terra Beata Cranberry farm.
Continue on Heckmans Island Road for 4km, then turn right onto Monk Point Road. Continue on Monk Point Road, past Terra Beata Cranberry Farm to where the road ends in a 3-way fork.
Take the left-most driveway, signs should be visible for the Morton Centre, continue up the gravel driveway until you reach the small cottage and turning point at the top.
To make pick-up and drop-off easier, please park in the new gravel parking lot to the left of the gravel driveway, and walk the rest of the driveway to the Morton Centre where the programs take place. Quick drop-offs can take place at the top of the driveway next to the Morton Centre cottage. There is also accessible parking available at the top of the driveway next to the Morton Centre cottage for those who need it.
Buses may drive up the driveway and turn around at the loop at the top of the driveway, unless notified otherwise.
